Leigh Ashley, M.A., LMFT
Therapy for Women, Couples & Families
Austin, Texas
Leigh Ashley's path to therapy and counseling was inspired by her personal journey of pain, resilience, and redemption. Growing up amidst adversities, she now helps others navigate, she gained valuable insights long before her formal training. Understanding how faith, supportive relationships, and professional guidance transformed her own life, she is driven to guide others toward the same liberation she found. Affirmed by friends, colleagues, and other church members that she had a gift for counseling, she committed herself to pursue this calling, igniting a lifelong commitment to empowering individuals and couples to overcome their struggles and emerge stronger.

Leigh's "WHY" is to bring understanding and self-acceptance to those trapped in guilt, doubt, shame, and feeling distant from God. To break through the cloud of "less than, unworthy, or unimportant," experiencing the fullness of His love and acceptance, even in failures and losses. Knowing and believing they are lovable—living out that truth daily, because God, through Jesus, has promised Zoe Life to all.
Leigh pursued her formal education with unwavering dedication, earning a Master’s in Professional Counseling, and is a PhD candidate. Her academic journey equipped her with the tools to understand better and address the intricate dynamics of human relationships. However, it was her personal encounters with hurt and recovery that truly shaped her empathetic and effective therapeutic approach.
With over a decade of professional experience, Leigh has become a beacon of hope for many. Her practice is deeply rooted in a Biblical perspective, focusing on the transformative power of God's love to heal trauma and betrayal. She combines a rich understanding of clinical methods with a compassionate, faith-driven approach, making her services unique and profoundly impactful. Leigh has a soft spot for supporting women who often leave their emotional wellness on the back burner. When it becomes too much to bear and affects their relationships and work life, they cry for help. Leigh helps them release the shame and unworthiness, embracing the fullness God has promised.
Outside of her professional life, Leigh is devoted to her family and enjoys the serenity of country living, which she finds restorative and balancing. Her hobbies, such as photography and interior decorating, reflect her artistic eye and appreciation for beauty in all forms. A fervent advocate for personal growth and teamwork, Leigh is always ready to stand as a cheerleader for those she works with, encouraging them to reach their fullest potential.
